Ibogaine Case Study with Positive Outcomes
Title: Observational Case Study of Ibogaine Treatment for Fentanyl Addiction at Oceanside Ibogaine Treatment Center, Nassau, Bahamas
Introduction:This observational case study explores the effectiveness of Ibogaine treatment for fentanyl addiction conducted at the Oceanside Treatment Center in Nassau, Bahamas. Ibogaine, derived from the root bark of the iboga plant, has shown promise in addressing addiction disorders.
Method:
- Participants: The study enrolled 40 participants (30 males, 10 females) with fentanyl addiction.
- Treatment: Participants received Ibogaine treatment followed by aftercare therapy consisting of weekly counseling sessions.
- Duration: Implemented in 2023, the study spanned 12 months, with follow-up assessments conducted at 6 and 12 months post-treatment.
- Assessment: Addiction status was evaluated at the 6-month and 12-month intervals post-treatment.
Results:
- At 6 months post-treatment, 32 out of 40 participants (80%) remained addiction-free.
- By the 12-month mark, 29 out of 40 participants (72.5%) remained addiction-free.
- No adverse effects were reported during or after Ibogaine treatment.
Discussion:The findings suggest that Ibogaine treatment, coupled with aftercare therapy, may effectively facilitate and sustain abstinence from fentanyl addiction. While there was a slight decrease in the percentage of participants maintaining addiction-free status from 6 to 12 months, the majority still remained free from addiction.
Limitations:
- The study’s limited sample size may restrict the generalizability of the results.
- The absence of a control group complicates the interpretation of the observed effects.
Conclusion:Despite limitations, this observational case study conducted at the Oceanside Ibogaine Treatment Center Bahamas provides encouraging evidence supporting the utility of Ibogaine treatment in addressing fentanyl addiction. Further research with larger sample sizes and controlled designs is warranted to validate and extend these findings.
